Appointments
Appointments
You can make appointments to see your doctor by coming into the
surgery or by
telephoning Harlow (01279) 418136.
Routine appointments will be offered for the first available
appointment. The
Practice also makes appointments available on the day. You need to
ring at
8.30am for an appointment that morning, or 1.30pm for an appointment
that
afternoon. If there are no appointments available and the problem is
medically
urgent then you will be given an Emergency appointment. We cannot
guarantee
that you will see the doctor of your choice but you will be seen.
Please remember that these are Emergency appointments, only 5
minutes duration and for the immediate emergency concerned.
If you need to cancel an appointment please let us know so that we
can offer it
to another patient.

Out of Hours
Emergencies
The Partnership of East London Co-operatives (PELC) covers
emergencies after evening surgery (6.30 pm) and all weekend until
Monday morning 8.00am (or Tuesday morning after a Bank Holiday

NHS Direct
Is a 24-hour telephone helpline. The helpline is led by nurses
who can help to reassure you and give you telephone advice and
health information. Anyone can ring NHS Direct, on
0845 4647
at anytime for health advice. NHS Direct is part of the NHS and
works alongside existing health services.
Walk-in Centre
Situated at Wych Elm (near the hospital) and open between
7.00a.m. and 10.00p.m. Monday to Friday and 9.00a.m. -10.00p.m.
Saturday - Sunday. Staffed by Nurse Practitioners and dealing
with Minor Illness/Injuries. Offer early morning blood tests
7.00 - 9.00a.m. Monday to Friday but you must remember your
blood test form.
Home Visits

Patients whose illness prevents them from attending the surgery
can be visited at home. Please try to request your visit between
9.00 - 10.00 a.m.
