Appointments
You can make appointments to see your doctor by coming into the surgery or by telephoning Harlow (01279) 418136.

GP Appointments
Morning surgery runs from 9.00a.m. - 11.00a.m. Monday-Friday. Appointments are at 10-minute intervals. Some of the appointments (60%) are bookable up to 4 weeks in advance, others are ‘book on days’ and any patients who cannot be fitted into these slots and states that their problem is urgent, is given an emergency appointment after 11.00am.

Evening/Afternoon surgeries – Monday to Friday 3.30p.m. -5.20p.m. These consist of pre-booked, ‘book on day’ appointments and any patients who cannot be fitted into these slots and states that their problem is urgent, is given an emergency appointment after 5.30pm. and are asked to come and wait to be seen as an extra.

Antenatal patients are seen at various times depending on the registered GP but range over lunchtime and early afternoons.

Post-Natal and 6-week checks are usually seen before or after a surgery and are booked at the convenience of the patient and their GP.

Practice Nurses
Wide range of appointments covering Monday to Friday.
Commencing 9.00 a.m. and continuing throughout the day to 5.50 p.m. (Lunch break 12.30 - 1.30p.m.)
 
 

The Practice also makes appointments available on the day. You need to ring at 8.30am for an appointment that day. (Please note we will no longer be releasing appointments at 1.30pm.)

Out of Hours Emergencies
The Partnership of East London Co-operatives (PELC) covers emergencies after evening surgery (6.30 pm) and all weekend until Monday morning 8.00am (or Tuesday morning after a Bank Holiday weekend). Telephone the surgery number for details (01279 418136) or telephone PELC directly on 0845 070 161.

NHS Direct
Is a 24-hour telephone helpline. The helpline is led by nurses who can help to reassure you and give you telephone advice and health information. Anyone can ring NHS Direct, on 0845 4647 at anytime for health advice. NHS Direct is part of the NHS and works alongside existing health services.

Walk-in Centre
Situated at Wych Elm (near the hospital) and opening times are now 8am-10pm 7 days a week. Blood tests no longer available.

Home Visits

Patients whose illness prevents them from attending the surgery can be visited at home. Please try to request your visit between 9.00 - 10.00 a.m.
